Pass the Power Changelog and Jam results


THANKS TO EVERYONE THAT PLAYED MY GAME!

This was my very first completed project, done from scratch with all the assets created by me! It may not look like much, but it's another step in my game making journey! Would like to quickly thank the 30 people who played my game, rated and provided feedback during this year's GMTK game jam! I will for sure be joining next year and hopefully my skill will have increased ten-fold! ^-^

I'm very surprised my first ever game jam attempt got ranked as high as it did! With around 5,700 entires, my little badly drawn game was fun enough and had a decent enough idea to place in the top 25%!! In the biggest game jam ever no less! I'm pretty stunned xD

POST-JAM PATCH

If I go forward with this game idea, I'll making it again from scratch, so I've only applied some small changes on this jam game. Here are the list of changes that hopefully address the issue the game had with pacing; as well as a teeny-tiny bit of polish.

  • Player movement speed has been doubled.
  • Enemy spawn rate has been slightly increased.
  • Max enemy spawn limit at the start of the game has been increased.
  • Progression of difficulty has been sped up to prevent game from feeling sluggish and slow.
  • A custom cursor has been added.
  • Transitions have been added at the start of the game as well as at game over.
